If your teeth are crooked, you may not feel as confident as you could. This is especially true if you are an adult and in the professional world. But wearing traditional braces is not always a good choice because they can attract attention to your teeth, distract people, and make you feel childish. There are other options. One of them is to wear invisible braces. These braces will still move your teeth around but are much more discreet.

Invisible Braces

These braces aren't the traditional style of braces. Instead of adhering to your teeth, they are trays you place over them. Each tray has been molded to have a place for your teeth. You wear these trays for a set amount of time and then switch to another tray with the same molds for your teeth, just in a slightly different position so that your teeth slowly straighten. You work with your dentist to figure out how long you will need to wear each tray and how long you will need to wear the invisible braces altogether. When you see your dentist to get your new trays, they will track your progress and adjust how long you need to wear them. Wearing invisible braces has a lot of benefits.

Removable

One benefit is that you can remove the trays. You can take them out to eat and brush your teeth. You don't have to worry about food getting caught under your braces like you would wearing traditional braces. Because you can take the trays out to brush your teeth, you don't have to worry about plaque building up around the braces. Your teeth will stay nice and healthy while you are straightening them so that they look nice.

Discreet

Because the trays are made out of clear dental plastic, no one can tell that you are wearing them unless they are examining your teeth closely. Some people may feel embarrassed about wearing braces as an adult, but invisible braces don't carry that same risk of shame because of the invisible nature of the braces.

If you want to straighten your teeth as an adult so that you can feel better about yourself, you have the option to use invisible braces. You will get the results you are looking for without a mouth full of braces that will draw everyone's eyes to your mouth.
